Is That A Man? Best Travesti

Dawn of the summer solstice at Sangiatto

At 4 alarm sounds. The outside temperature is very cold (3 degrees), in a tent for more. I get dressed quickly, because out of the sleeping bag is frozen. When night fell a little 'rain, now the sky is stained dark clouds that cling to the peaks. A kiss to my wife and birth, in darkness.

It 's great to walk in silence broken only by the noises of the forest who accompanied me. Do I have to hurry, I have an hour to be Sangiatto for sunrise, today is the first day of summer and I want to greet him that way. As the muscles warm up your pace.

The heart pumps bad, I feel like flying. I invent steps to ford streams too water-laden, but then at 5 and 30 are stationed: in front of me with a lot of the Deer train of clouds just wait for it to follow the first rays of morning incendino its snowy peak.

And then the miracle repeats itself: it is the dawn

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 20mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 2 sec, CPL GND8

I do not have much time, the most beautiful light is short, so I try to maximize attention to the shots, the mind responds quickly:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 14mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 3 sec, CPL, GND8

It's cold, ice and snow still covering the slopes, but I do not feel cold, just the heat of the fiery nature who just wants to explode from too many hours of darkness

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 5 sec, CPL, GND8

Just a few moments for a quick overview, not that I let slip:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/11 , 1 / 5 sec, CPL, GND8 (Overview of 5 shots)

'm exhausted but happy as a child: I had the privilege of enjoying a unique moment, and I'm sure it caught. Right now the memory card of my car is an absolute good, to defend against any adversity because they are too precious.

get down to the base camp completely empty but full of infinite peace of mind, all I see around me is fantastic, and I savor these moments in silence. One last photo on the Court of Ardui:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 125 sec, GND8

What else to add except that this was one of my most intense and exciting photographic output, which allowed me to experience to say the least only (but hopefully repeatable).

A big thank you to my wife, who was fired the night in tents and never complain about the cold weather (in the end, however, life in the midst of nature like her too).

My Penise Is Thicker Than A Toilet Paper Roll

Val Buscagna, the awakening of nature

After a long absence, I finally managed to get back to doing a good lap in 'my' val Buscagna, at a past weekend in a tent Alpe Devero.

In relation to the heavy snowfalls that have been throughout the winter and early spring, the landscape, despite the imminent summer, is still characterized by abundant snow, while nature barely tries to wake up after a long period of lethargy.

The magnificent sight that greets us, however, is always something special

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 14mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 125 sec, CPL

The air is fresh and crisp, almost pungent, but it helps to give us a cobalt blue sky where white clouds stand out:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 160 sec CPL

The cabins are still desperately empty because the season is too far back, but it's great to see how they blend perfectly with its surroundings:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 160 sec, CPL

flower so few attempts to soften the landscape, capturing the sun's rays:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/13, 1 / 100 sec, CPL

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/22, 1 / 25 sec, CPL

The meeting with a White Pulsatilla is a pretext to try to make some shots with the fifty and extension tubes. The result is by definition and amazing detail, and this combination has nothing to envy to the most noble goals macro:

D300, Nikon 50mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 250 sec

The heart of the Val Buscagna is always magnificent, worthy of a painting

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 200 sec CPL

The bridge then appears to have been put there not by chance:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 250 sec CPL

And then his friend Lucius, who finally has his dream of seeing and, more importantly, the photographing val Buscagna:

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 100 sec, CPL

The perfect lighting conditions that we have found have been such that it could take during almost all hours of the day, unless a necessary stop for 'lavish' meal. The D300 has responded, as usual, the huge, taking up already near-perfect images, which required minimal changes in post production.

In the evening, the cold has made me feel a lot and the sky was obscured in a hurry so that I and my wife slept in a tent while outside there were 3 degrees. But this will be the theme of the next post.

How Much Is A Brazilian Amethyst In The Raw Worth

The civilization of rice: plain Vercellese

Since I was a child the rice fields have always fascinated me: when I visited my relatives spent the whole trip to Turin to watch the enchanting panorama made from all these unequal rectangles filled with water , almost like a huge puzzle.

This year I planned well for photographic output in the world of rice fields, just to find those emotions. And that piece of the Po Valley which is the province of Vercelli low gave me a fantastic feeling, returning back in time, as if everything had stayed 30 years ago.

I chose the province of Vercelli because he held more than its agricultural vocation, and was even awarded the title of the European Province of Rice by the EU.

The first stop was the Principality of Lucedio, a magnificent example of the rice industry of the past, with its abbey to make a lighthouse.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 48mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 50 sec, CPL, GND2

D300, Nikon 24-70 to 62mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 60 sec, CPL, GND2

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 14mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 40 sec, CPL, GND2

Wandering through this land of silence, we came across a small church, lost in the midst of rice fields, with a curious tower that looked like a minaret.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 30 sec, CPL, GND4

After searching in vain for other outputs, there appears a whole hill of rape, all to myself.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 18mm, ISO 200, f/20, 1 / 40 sec, CPL, GND4

Then when the light began to be dyed gold, I could not resist the temptation to return to the Principality of Lucedio and withdraw it from another angle.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 40mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 30 sec, CPL, GND2

D300, Nikon 70-200 to 90mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 80 sec, CPL

Also nearby, the mammoth Darola House, a veritable barracks: who knows how many workers there lived in when he was still active and mechanization had not yet arrived.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 27mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 10 sec, CLP, GND2

Finally I felt bound down the immortality the sun over the horizon, when everything around us is dyed red.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 35mm, ISO 200, f/16, 1 / 10 sec, CPL, GND8

Notes on the route: the road of the Grange ( old farmhouses) starts from Vercelli and crosses to the south-west throughout the rice fields. It seems to be projected in a different dimension, as if the last 30 years had not dampened these places.
The technique of rice cultivation is no longer rapidly changing: for some years in Lomellina you experience a type of rice that grows without being flooded. All this is another clear sign of globalization and the search for savings in agricultural production.
risked losing traditions that are lost in the mists of time, in addition to irreversibly affect the situation in wildlife in the area.

We hope that this does not happen and that the world of rice paddies can still give us all these wonderful emotions.

Technical Note: As I learned to know and use it better, more and more amazed by the ability of D300 to give me back my pictures almost perfect, needing only minimal post-production (virtually the only form of contrast).
