Zinseler powder snow today on the ridge to the car. We were the first to fall but behind us there was a "caravan" of at least 50-60 people!
Warning: find parking at the last farms is extremely difficult for those who arrive after 8:15 on a Saturday or Sunday.

Pregnancy How Sweet Is It
BIG DAY
After 2 months of drought and withdrawal from real snow here is finally a beautiful snowfall on Italy. Many will be at the gates for all sautéed and more. We too are in the game. We can not wait for the w-end and decide for Friday. We spend all Thursday to see how the weather to see where and how they have already plowed the more Saving Silverman. What is left? Where can we find something else? And here is the right information: San Domenico, 50 cm of powder plant and closed until Friday. No doubt, we must go there!
Friday the sun is already high and the day promises beautiful ... and hot. Just a cloud is crushed on the slope down there ... not a cloud fantozziana?? Fortunately, they were the condensation that develops on the Simplon ... over our heads and a clear sky blue gasa us even more. The ticket office opens at 9.00 to 8.00, but already we have a score in a row. Imagining the competition I carry on waiting ... in this way will go up for giving us the quarters around the first right to draw many lines. Leaving the valley we are astonished: dispel the doubts, the snow and there is good and great. All virgin ... would like to accelerate the chair .... Trampling.
We have never come to San Domenico, and then give up the right channel (which, alas, will be instantly babe, deflowered) but we opt for a wiser side of the track. The snow is beautiful. There is little time for the photos because behind us hungry will eat up the slope in 20 seconds ... like locusts killer after a few minutes everything is heavily path.
A couple of turns to fire, almost no manna enjoy so much and then we go on. Open up the ski lift ... more powder, more first tracks. Here the slope decreases, but there are treacherous moguls and valleys began to bomb ... the rush is that it deals with a meter of pure instinct.
After several hours of fighting triggered there is a strange calm in the air. In my opinion there is some local who knows a lot ... that did it ... we see them climb a ridge to cross. From there, a beautiful virgin descent. Come on?? I'd like to go but would mean losing half a day. But this beautiful snow is so rare this year that we do not want to waste even a minute ... there are still plenty of spaces to enjoy.
We're going down the gentle slopes above the road when those premises from the top and bam ... a beautiful avalanche. One can see the sliding surface even if the snow seems weakly cohesive. I believe that they have formed part affixed to clean up the slope. What nonsense ... winter with little snow there is much more dangerous than usual ... you have to be straight with antennas!
Three hours crushed relentlessly. Going up a hill to see a beautiful valley to the south. The snow is heated but it is certainly a beautiful skiing. We confirm that the descent back down to the town. Wait a few minutes but the second stage has already been deflowered! Ah damn ... I was right! We throw ourselves into it. And loosen the snow but you can ski well. There are many bumps and screeds to have fun with Zompa as crickets.
After the initial slope the valley turns into a beautiful canal. The skiing is more "slide" but a lot of fun. ... We are in full sun and the heat is crazy.
We arrive at the grove. From here, a few yards of super ravanage (snow is evaporated) until the narrow road which, fortunately, easily leads us to the road.
the 14.00 ... I have given you. The camminatina final until the last car consumes energy but it is not much left to do. We sink into a sense of profound joy, of calm and serenity. Thanks to all was a real BIG DAY.

Inspired by the trip that Andreas OvertheTop reported on Saturday, I started to do this beautiful top that I had never done (starting from the parking lot of a Pfitscherhof Platz / Pfitsch).
At 11:40 I was on top of m. 2999 (with handheld GPS and raising his hand towards the 3,000 m high score!), There was not even a puff of wind, and at 12:30 I got on the skis and I followed the path of descent of Georg Miro and his dog had just fallen down a slope apparently still virgin.
Result: a descent unbroken Firn fantastic on to the edge of the woods.
NB: The initial ascent route has numerous interruptions of the snow and take off your skis should be 4 times in descent but are unable to take advantage of a steep channel that begins halfway between the beginning of the junction for the forest and pasture Pristling (mistakenly called Bürstling hut on the maps Tobacco) and offering a descent not just fantastic but still interesting and very rewarding.

I was looking for a nice trip to do on Saturday to fully test the Venture. While flowing gl'itinerari on driving, this trip kidnapped me: the ascent from the Suretta Splugen and the descent of the Val Suretta to Surfers. It is my trip. You could organize in the company but I wanted to make her own solo, take my time, enjoy my space, sink in the silence, to fully understand the new board.
I am leaving in good time. In front of me a group of skialpers front of me throughout the trip of a few hundred meters. The first hill is treacherous, full of holes and ice.

I was looking for a nice trip to do on Saturday to fully test the Venture. While flowing gl'itinerari on driving, this trip kidnapped me: the ascent from the Suretta Splugen and the descent of the Val Suretta to Surfers. It is my trip. You could organize in the company but I wanted to make her own solo, take my time, enjoy my space, sink in the silence, to fully understand the new board.
