Monterosso - rough seas

famously not a big lover of the sea, which I prefer life in the mountains. But some detour I do not mind it, just not too often.

The opportunity came on the first weekend in February with the confirmation of my grandchildren in that of Monterosso, 5 Terre. Objectively, the site is very interesting from a photographic point of view, and then I had already made a small program to try to do a bit 'to a couple of photographs of the villages 5 Terre. But Jupiter pluvio gave us a hand and we suffered two days of almost incessant rain, with heavy sea.

Despite the adverse weather conditions, I am armed with my D300 and trust in the few moments without rain, I managed to shoot something in this case I perched behind the rocks to stop the movement of waves, with horne result of a good wash ...

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 100 sec

The sea was so rough, however, very beautiful, and when some crack sky did go a bit 'of sunlight the show was guaranteed.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 24mm, ISO 200, f / 8, 1 / 320 sec

The waves breaking against the rocks give a sense of the infinite power of the sea.

D300, Nikon 27-70 at 24mm, ISO 200, f / 8, 1 / 250 sec

The wickedness of the sky was really impressive.

D300, Nikon 24-70 at 24mm, ISO 200, f / 8, 1 / 320 sec, GND4

was played on the beach to be chasing the waves, which continually tormented the poor solitary stones.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 19mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 125 sec, flash fill

The last vision before closing inevitably between the warm home, is that of a flood is about to erupt with all its violence.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 14mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 60 sec, GND4

Ultimately something good I managed to take him home, despite my plans have remained so.

This trip was also an opportunity to meet friends in person Mauritius, Andras and Paola, as well as the inevitable Andrea, with whom we have had the pleasure of sharing a nice evening enlivened by a tasty pizza.

Coffee Scented Candles

Terminillo

I was sitting pretty good skiing Terminillo in a grove, when I noticed a presence behind me! I turned trembling thinking it might be the Big Bad Wolf ... and was instead ....

Little Red Riding Hood!

E 'on Easter Sunday, and faithful said the "Christmas with the yours, Easter skiing," the better half 'and I snuck out there to the time of the Montagne de Rome, leaving grandparents and grandchildren together to take care of one another.
The idea was to make the Canalone Canalone the North or Central. He descended a short but challenging ... and especially with a little uphill to do, given the limited time available but mainly because of the laziness of Little Red Riding Hood ... oops ... I meant the other half '.
Snow and 'still a lot and the road that leads to Rifugio Sebastiani and' actually 'stop at the Rialto residence (or as it's called). The weather too has decided not to respect the weather we had carefully read the previous days: a mighty wind blows from the northeast, bringing with dense black clouds, which are still far away, but we still do not recommend to take a climb on this side.
We decide to spend the morning on the plants, which are open until 13. And we have fun a lot, on the first hard snow and ice and then gradually more and more 'soft.
We ski through the woods:

and climb on top of the Terminilluccio ... with the appropriate chair:

At close 13 plants. The snow would obviously even ski ... but bear little track skiers the snow "jelly" ...
We hope to be back here soon on the Mountain de Rome. Maybe to make the channels on the other side, as was the original program today, or any of the other wonderful tours that can be done here.
do not know when I'll have 'the heart to go skiing in Abruzzo .... Mario

Mirena Cost In Rupees

Riale - Pomatt

Riale is a delightful and typical alpine village located at the end of Pomatt, which represents the northern part of the whole area Ossola. To be clear, the place was used for the first spot circled the Fiat Doblo, the one with the Jamaican athletes bob.

This is one of the most fascinating of the Alps, although in summer it is stormed by turme of families in the mood for a picnic. The winter, however, thanks to the remoteness and lack of lifts, returns to being a place of 'pilgrimage' mountaineering, my favorite.

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 50mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 250 sec, CPL

Again, the snow is more abundant, as we do not seen for some time, and the clear day we can enjoy all that surrounds us in peace and quiet, enjoying every foot of ascent.

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 18mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 250 sec, CPL

We are now high on the valley when the sun starts to bite , heated with its rays and giving us wonderful views of pure beauty.

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 27mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 200 sec, CPL

review the same places visited in the summer, find them absolutely free of life, where there was turmoil and human activity (production and sale of cheese most wanted of Italy), I confess that does something, and always leaves me stunned the thought of the tenacity with which some mountain people for centuries have defied the adverse environmental conditions.

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 34mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 160 sec, CPL

Other visions make me reflect on the absolute smallness and insignificance of Our guards at the majesty and power of nature.

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 35mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 200 sec, CPL

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 35mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 250 sec, CPL

Back to the valley, I am irresistibly attracted by the reflection that the last rays of the sun projected on the wall of mountains snow.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 12mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 125 sec, CPL, GND8

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 24mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 100 sec, CPL, GND8

One last shot that made the sun now peeking behind the peaks, creating a affascianante alone.

D300, Nikon 12-24 at 15mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 40 sec, CPL, GND4

This time, finally, an overview of Pomatt .

D300, Nikon 18-200 at 18mm, ISO 200, f/11, 1 / 500 sec, pan consists of 5 shots in vertical

This year, for the eccesionali snow conditions and avalanche danger on the road to Riale remained closed to traffic for most of the winter. This trip was made in one of the few periods when was possible to reach the top of the Pomatt.
